Our plane at RDU had engine troubles, which prevented us from getting to Atlanta on time. Instead we made it to Jamaica NY and spent the night in a hotel (at Delta's expense!). We leave now for JFK airport to catch the 11:15 South African Airlines flight 204 to Johannesburg. We're getting in in the morning and will go straight to Freedom Park to work with the care workers as they make their route through the shanty town beside the big Anglo-Platinum mines. It may be 36 hours before another post.

We're all well fed and rested now. Pray we all get some sleep on the long plane ride because we're going to have a very long day.
